April-May, 2008: Centennial Exhibit at the Capitol

The exhibit is located on the second level and will be featured as a regular part of Capitol tours for through May.

 

April 23, 2008: Academic Staff Showcase, 9am-4pm at the Health Sciences Learning Center Atrium

The SMPH Committee on Academic Staff Issues (CASI) and the Dean's Leadership Team are sponsoring a poster event to highlight the many roles and accomplishments of the academic staff as part of the SMPH Centennial celebration. There will be a wide range of submissions including: activities related to research, public health, best practices, quality improvement, innovative use of technology, and unique educational or curricular materials.

A showcase book of abstracts will be printed and available for distribution.

Appetizers and drinks will be provided during the midday hours for those presenting and viewing the posters. UW SMHP staff interested in presenting a poster can find more information here.

 

Feb. 8, 2008: Centennial Ice Cream Contest Deadline
Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to name a specialty ice cream flavor. Deadline to enter is February 8, 2008. The winner will be selected in March. The centennial ice cream will be featured at a special ice cream social for students and at several alumni events in May and again at the Dean’s annual ice cream social for faculty and staff in July. The specialty flavor ice cream will also be sold at UW Hospital's Mendota Market over the summer. Skeletons in the Attic, Life in the Atrium: 100 Years of Medical Education at UW-Madison

Exhibit featuring artifacts and memorabilia of 100 years of medical education. The exhibit is on display in the Ebling Library, on the third floor of the UW SMPH ’s Health Sciences Learning Center, 750 Highland Ave. Madison

 

Oct. 27, 2007: A Century of Inspiration

Celebration at the football game between Wisconsin and Indiana at Camp Randall.
